What we change

We sort records into trade packs, group everything at one address into a single lead, add ZIP codes and community areas from the city's boundary maps, and match addresses to Cook County parcels to find owner mailing addresses. A match we are unsure of is labelled as a guess, never presented as fact.

Building violation records show what the city cited and when; they do not necessarily reflect a building's current condition, and some cases end with the owner found not liable. Do not rely on them for real-estate transactions.

Owner and mailing addresses come from the Cook County Assessor’s Office open data. Cook County does not endorse AlderWorks or its products.
